This “picture-perfect” Mediterranean-style and architect-designed equestrian villa is set on a 2,25ha small holding in the sought-after country suburb of Glenferness. The homestead comprises 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (2 en-suite), 3 lock-up garages with direct access to the house and 4 open garages, set in a landscaped garden, with in-situ irrigation and mature trees. A spacious, open plan entrance hall/lobby encompasses an informal TV lounge, dining and kitchen area, leading to a double-volume formal lounge, study, guest cloakroom and a large basement wine cellar. An entertainer’s patio, fully under-roof, runs the length of the house, fronted by the pool. All living areas and the bedrooms feature doors leading onto patio/garden. A chef’s kitchen with authentic country finishes featuring granite tops, a large gas stove and a concealed scullery backed up by a pantry with ample storage space and additional refrigeration. The home has beautiful flow from the kitchen to the dining room and leading to living areas and onto the covered patio.
The master suite has a walk-through dressing room with ample cupboards, leading to a spacious bathroom with double vanities and a double shower. Two (children’s) bedrooms share a double bathroom and a spacious work-station. A self-contained guest suite comprising bedroom, lounge and a full bathroom has direct access to the lock-up garages.
Other improvements include a free-standing cottage offering staff accommodation (two bedrooms, open plan living and kitchen, with a covered patio entrance), an exceptional indigenous ‘ecological’ garden featuring a grassland, wetland, small dam and forested area providing diverse habitats for wild-life and bird-life. A charming vegetable garden adjacent to the house is enclosed in a stone wall. The equestrian dream starts with an immaculately maintained sand trotting track of 700metres ringing the perimeter of the property, a 60mX40m sand arena, 3 double-sized brick stables, 2 shady paddocks, a secure tack room, covered horse box parking, feed store and wash bay. A third staff bedroom and bathroom are part of the stable complex.
Security features include a high, street-front wall with embedded steel sharks-teeth, a CCTV Camera at the entrance gate and an infrared beam / alarm. Boundaries with neighbours have secure palisade and electric fencing.
This is a must-see for horse lovers looking for privacy, a prime location and a secure investment.

Glenferness. It falls within the ambit of a credible and pro-active conservancy, GEKCO, which is known as a defender of the City’s ‘environmental by-laws’.
